HOW IT WORKS-ANSWERS TO YOUR MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

Equibreed.com was founded to provide a sales and research portal for the thoroughbred industry. The creators own and maintain a thoroughbred broodmare farm in Kentucky USA and have brought that subject matter expertise to the development of this site. The main focus is to bring buyers and sellers together in a way that is safe, prosperous, and technology rich so that these transactions can be conducted with the highest levels of due diligence, and convenience.

The following Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) should address most of the typical questions we get about equibreed.com. If you still have further questions after reading this FAQ, and the terms and conditions HERE, we strongly encourage you to contact us for an immediate response.

·         Why is equibreed.com better than the other listing sites, how do I know my horse will sell?

Equibreed was specifically created for the thoroughbred industry, unlike most other sales listing sites. Therefore, as with a regular auction facility, we are concerned about the health of the horse, whether it is sound for purpose, and whether the seller has provided items like a COGGINS, EVA to the website. Equibreed personally quality checks all listings at random to ensure the horses listed meet our strict guidelines. While we cannot guarantee the health of a horse listed on the site, we do ask the sellers to provide health certificates, and also offer the buyers opportunities to reject a purchase within 72 hours if either their private veterinarian or an Equibreed supplied veterinarian finds the horse unfit for purpose.  Additionally, Equibreed.com was developed from the ground up by one of the Nation’s top technology companies, Clarium Corporation. Clarium is one of the world’s leaders in information processing, the internet, and web technologies. By listing your horse on the site you are guaranteed to have the highest levels of exposure (hits) on your listing than any other listing service. Equibreed will be second to none in regards to hits, search engine placement, and a variety of other Internet marketing techniques. In summation, your horse will sell because we have created Fortune 500 quality online sales portal that helps buyers feel confident in their purchase.

·         How does the listing service work? Equibreed’s listing service is the first “thoroughbred” only listing engine that builds a listing for you much like a sales catalogue page at the typical “bricks and mortar” auction facilities in Kentucky, Florida and New York. Once all the horse’s information is submitted to the simple (5) step process, a HIP number is assigned to your horse and a graphics rich sales catalogue page is developed. The listing runs for (6) months and is then expired. A user can easily relist their horse if they so choose at no additional cost.

·   How do I read the sales page? The sales page has been designed to provide you with quick and simple information about the listing. The first is the HIP number of the horse on the top left, followed by the consignor or owner on the top center, and then the location where the horse is standing on the right top. The rest continues with the main photo of the horse, the pedigree and career earnings of the progeny, and then the status of the horse. If the horse is a broodmare you will get information on her current status, as well as the produce record. If the seller has provided copies of COGGINS / EVA certificates to equibreed.com, we will let you know in the listing that these are on file with us.

··    What is the horse’s health is not what was advertised after I complete the purchase?

Equibreed will allow buyers up to (72) hours post-sale to have the horse inspected by either an equibreed veterinarian ($275), or a private veterinarian of your choice before delivery. If the horse is found not to be suitable for purpose, then a full refund of the security deposit will be made to the buyer, and the sale will be canceled. Please see Equibreed’s Terms and Conditions for a complete explanation on “suitable for purpose” and your rights under the terms.
